Belmar NJ Shore Wedding Reception Video

Filed under: NJ Wedding Receptions, NJWedding — njweddingvendors @ 12:13 pm

The Waterview Pavillion Banquet Hall, Belmar NJ, is located across from the Belmar Marina and adjacent to the Belmar Motor Lodge on Route 35 and a short distance from the beach. The Riverview Pavillion offers water views of the Shark River.

What makes the Waterview Pavillion unique is the ballroom (150 person minimum) second story balcony that can accommodate your cocktail hour, leaving the first floor for your reception.  The Waterview Pavillion also has a smaller room available for a smaller wedding reception or rehearsal dinner requiring a 50 person minimum. The wedding banquet staff can also help you plan your ceremony to be held at the Waterview or Riverview Pavillion (150 person minimum).

To visualize what your NJ shore wedding reception may be like if held it at the Waterview Pavillion, view this YouTube Video taken in 2007:

The Waterview and Riverview Pavillions’ menu offers the bride and groom the choice of a sit down, buffet, or brunch wedding reception. Give them a call at 732-681-4600.

Wedding Toast Poem: Father to Bride

Filed under: NJ Wedding Receptions, NJWedding, Wedding Poems — njweddingvendors @ 10:41 pm

As the host of his daughter’s wedding reception, the father of the bride may open the wedding reception after the introductions by

  • welcoming the groom’s family into his
  • welcoming the guests
  • commenting on how lovely the bride looks
  • commenting how nice the ceremony was

The father of the bride’s words to his daughter shouldn’t come across as a speech. It should be from the heart, giving

  • short anecdotes involving the bride and her father
  • some humorous and serious marriage advice tips

Next, the bride’s father should transition into introducing the DJ or band, photographer, and giving any other comments on the reception.

The father of the bride’s 10 minutes in front of his guests should end with a toast to the bride and groom giving wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness.

If the father of the bride is not comfortable giving a speech in front of 100 plus friends and family at the wedding reception, suggest that he write or find a poem that expresses his heartfelt feelings. If he isn’t into searching for poems, ask the bestman or another person who knows both the father and bride well to help find several poems from which the bride’s father can choose.

The following poem is an example of a father of the bride to the bride poem which can be read by the father at the wedding reception. The wedding poem ends with a toast to the bride and groom.

My Loving daughter,
A miracle happened when you came into this world…
A new life was given to me by my baby girl.
As I held you in my protective arms…
You wooed me with your adoring charms.
Responsibility for your life gave me great pause…
It was at that moment I knew what true love was.
Over the years I watched you gracefully grow…
From baby dolls and on to each new beau,
All the while a father protecting you from fears…
And praising you with many adoring cheers.
But most of all, my daughter, we laughed and played…
and, sadly, I wish the years could have been delayed,
For today I had one last loving act to do…
Walking down the aisle beside the lovely you.
Giving my daughter away to her groom…
Surprisingly didn’t give me a sense of gloom,
For there is one thing I am sure of…
Your groom now knows real true love.
May the two of you enjoy that love together…
Just as I have with your mother.

New Jersey Historic Estate Wedding Facilities, Part 2

Filed under: NJ Wedding Receptions, NJWedding — njweddingvendors @ 12:25 pm

We’re adding five more NJ reception venues to our list of New Jersey Historic Estate Wedding Facilities. Driving along the NJ countryside to visit the beautiful grounds is in itself a great way to spend the day. These expansive, beautifully landscaped NJ estates have been converted into elegant wedding venues where the past meets the present.  Often, today’s country clubs were once elegant estates allowing enough land to build a golf course and offer a banquet hall for special occasions.  If there is a country club near you, give them a call…ask them if they cater weddings. Where they once limited use of their facilities to members only, country clubs often offer their facilities to the public to support the necessary upkeep expenses.

Ramsey Golf and Country Club
Ramsey, NJ

Hold your wedding reception in a gorgeous 19th century stone castle surrounded by stately trees, a formal garden on 30 acres with 3 lakes. They can accommodate your wedding whether it is for 12 or 200 guests and “are eager to bring our excellent food, superior services and fairy-tale setting to your affair and continue the legacy that has made the Ramsey Golf & Country Club one of New Jersey’s premier locales for special events and memorable weddings”. NJ Destination Wedding: The Breakers, Spring Lake

Filed under: NJ Shore Weddings, NJ Wedding Receptions, NJWedding — njweddingvendors @ 8:45 am

We visited The Breakers in Spring Lake yesterday. Spring Lake, NJ is known for its beautiful large homes with manicured lawns. Spring Lake is a NJ residential summer location more than a tourist attraction. The beaches are clean and well taken care of. No coolers, food, or beverages are allowed on the beach. We witnessed a Spring Lake police officer require sunbathers to remove their cooler from the beach and empty out the cans. That was certainly better than getting a ticket for they had beer in their cooler.

Last April, we inquired about holding a NJ beach wedding ceremony and reception at The Breakers. The following is the reply we received from Shannon Costanzo, Director of Sales:

The Breakers on the Ocean has the distinction of being the only full service hotel located on the ocean in Spring Lake. For the most special day of your life, The Breakers offers the ideal setting for a NJ oceanfront wedding. From the cocktail hour on the Front Porch overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to the reception in the elegant Crystal Ballroom, guests will enjoy magnificent NJ ocean views, attentive service and exceptional cuisine.

Our wedding packages, including prices, are available on our website - www.breakershotel.com. Our package includes four or five hours of premium open bar, cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, Champagne Toast, Five-Course Sit-down Dinner or Wedding Buffet, Custom-designed Wedding Cake, Private Bridal Suite for the Wedding Party during the Cocktail Hour, Complimentary Standard Guest Room for the Wedding Night, Complimentary Place Cards, Direction Cards and elegant Silk Centerpieces.

Our prices start at $112.00 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity. We offer a 10% discount on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and 15% all day Sunday along with seasonal discounts. (more…)

NJ Wedding Ceremony in a Hot Air Balloon

Float off into the New Jersey sunset with your officiant, exchanging vows in midflight and then landing in a NJ field or local winery where all the guests await with champagne glasses in hand and a five-star menu, catered by one of New Jersey’s finest culinary vendors, waiting for everyone under a tent.

If you want to catch an early flight to start your honeymoon, you could hold an early morning ceremony followed by a champagne breakfast. When it’s time to leave, have a hot air balloon take you two away. (more…)

Alternative NJ Wedding Reception Site: Renault Winery

Filed under: NJ Wedding Receptions, NJWedding — njweddingvendors @ 8:35 pm

In our previous post, we introduced you to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden as one New Jersey alternative wedding reception site. We’ve found a second alternative NJ wedding reception site for you to check out. This second wedding reception alternative site, the Renault Winery, is located in Egg Harbor in Atlantic County. It is actually a resort. On one side of the street is the Renault Winery. On the other side, is the Tuscany House Hotel and Joseph’s Restaurant. The old world style of the hotel includes Mediterranean marble, tile, wood, verandas, and courtyard. Your guests may enjoy the elegant hotel and golf course in addition to your lovely, romantic wedding.

The Renault Winery offers three banquet rooms for you to choose from. Each room includes a dance floor and each reception includes a one-hour cocktail hour and a three-hour sit down dinner. Since your NJ wedding reception would be at a winery, wine and wine-based cocktails are offered, but not hard liquor. You may provide bottled beer for your guests at no extra cost. (more…)
